Hometown: Birmingham, AL
What is something you could not live without?
I definitely couldn't live without my friends and family. If we're being honest, I go home to see my family way too much! If I have a weekend off you can bet I'm going to be in Birmingham- I'm such a homebody!
What is something you are passionate about?
I am so passionate about living life to its fullest every single day. I have had battles with epilepsy, which many people don't know about me, but because of that I have learned that you never know when something could change. Alpha Chi has helped me to live the life I want to live. There is no point in getting caught up in materialistic things or drama. As long as you are happy and sharing that with others, you will prevail. My friends in Alpha Chi help me to do so, encouraging me to be a "Real, Strong Woman", and leading me to Christ more and more every day.
How has being in Alpha Chi changed your college experience?
Being an Alpha Chi, I have gotten more out of my college experience than I could've ever dreamt of. I not only found the friends I was looking to find in a sorority, but girls that push me to be the best version of myself. Alpha Chi has lifted me up at all times, pushing me to be the real, strong woman that our sorority promotes. Without Alpha Chi, I feel as though I'd be lost- trying to be someone I'm not. I'm forever grateful that I can be myself 100% of the time and always feel comfortable when I walk through our chapter room doors!
What are you most excited for Sophomore year?
Sophomore year I am looking forward to growing as a person and working hard to better myself with the support of my friends and family. I'm excited to meet new people in our chapter, (especially the new members!!!) and form deeper relationships with my friends.
If someone played you in a movie, who would it be and why?
Blake lively! She is so real, and I have always admired that about her. She has her celebrity-work life but she also has her personal life, and from what I've seen she truly values her family. I love her!
Where is your happy place?
My happy place 100% is at home. I am a family girl through and through, and although I love Auburn and all of my friends, I am constantly homesick. Auburn and Alpha Chi have been so great in stretching and pushing me to get out my comfort zone and reminding me that I have a home here, too!
Epsilon Zeta's been all over the map this summer! From internships, to mission trips, to travels with friends and studying abroad, we've had a blast! Take a look at what we've been up to and where we've been!

Ann Marie Leonard | Los Angeles
Ann has truly been living her best life in Cali this summer! Working for JB Talent and looking cute as can be everywhere she goes, she's got big dreams and a bigger heart. We can't wait to get her back!
Sarah Louise Boland | Rome, Italy
Traveling plus ice cream plus more traveling makes for the best summer, right? Sarah Louise interned for Italia Connect and explored all over Italy, Switzerland, and Barcelona! Talk about the best of both worlds.
Hannah Shoener | Rome, Italy
Rome, Interlake, and Croatia, oh my! Hannah has had the time of her life traveling Europe with her study abroad program! Her spunk and flare follow her to any and every adventure she goes on.

Macy Morgan and Jordan Cotney | Italy
Can it really get much better than exploring Italy with your best friend? We don't think so! It's safe to say Macy and Jordan thrived and lived their best Lizzie McGuire lives!
Mollie Farrimond | Europe
Cute as a button and finding hidden hidden book steps along the way, Mollie studied abroad in Italy and traveled around Barcelona, Paris, Greece, Munich and Switzerland this summer! We're so jealous!!

What is your favorite thing about serving as Epsilon Zeta's president?
My favorite thing about being President is just the honor in itself of leading this amazing group of women we have in Alpha Chi! I’m so thankful to play a part in bringing all of our uniquely different women together in one place for friendship and fellowship. It’s been such a fun experience so far, and I absolutely love every second! It's the biggest privilege to be able to serve these ladies!
What are you most looking forward to in the fall?
This fall I am most looking forward to meeting our new members! After serving as New Member Educator last year, the incoming new members of Alpha Chi hold a very special place in my heart! I love that entirely new adventure they get to experience and I can’t wait to welcome the new gals into our sweet sisterhood! We just have so many exciting things to look forward to this upcoming fall semester!
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is definitely my oldest sister Rebekah. She is the smartest, kindest, most humble person I have ever known. She is by far my best friend and biggest mentor. I am inspired by her drive and dedication to pursue anything she sets her mind to! Even though she was a majorette, Alpha Chi, and Honors Student at the University of Alabama--she was my biggest cheerleader when I made the decision to attend Auburn University. God’s love is so evident in her and she has impacted my life more than she knows! I just hope to be half the woman she has grown to be!
What is your favorite memory from Alpha Chi?
My favorite memory from Alpha Chi most definitely has to be the Junior Cruise my pledge class went on this past spring break! We had THE BEST time just goofing around and spending time together for an entire week cruising to the Bahamas! We shared so many laughs, a thousand random dance parties, one too many karaoke concerts, a bottle of aloe vera, an ice-cold snorkeling experience, and an embarrassing amount of trips to the all you can eat buffet! We all grew so much closer together and I am so thankful for such an amazing group of friends! ILYSM PC14!
What are your plans after graduation?
My plans after graduation are still pretty undecided. All I know is that whatever I do, I want to be able to serve those less fortunate than I am. I have a passion for helping others and I’d love the opportunity to do international mission work after graduation! I know the Lord has a bigger plan for me than I could ever come up with myself. I’m keeping a very open mind and am excited to see what He has in store for my future!
VP of Recruitment
Hometown: Orlando, FL
Major: International Business
Harper is the most selfless and loyal girl I know! It doesn't matter if she has a million different things going on, she will do whatever it takes to help you and be there for you. She is so good at making everyone feel important, loved, and comfortable. WIth so much on her plate, she's still so intentional and makes an effort to get to know people on a genuine level. Harper is also so funny! She's so goofy and witty and she can make you laugh even on the worst days. I've been so blessed to have Harper as a Big, and to look up to her. She's such an amazing example of a real strong woman! -Hannah Lally
Harper is one of the absolute best people that I know. She is thoughtful, encouraging, and one of those people that everyone always wants to be around. She has worked so so hard on recruitment and she does it with a smile on her face and an amazing attitude. I couldn't be happier to assist her with recruitment, not only because I know she has put so much effort into this and is so excited for it, but also because I have the privilege of calling her one of my very best friends. She's the greatest and we are so incredibly lucky to have her lead Alpha Chi! Love you Harp! -Julia Kimbrough
What is your major/hometown?
I was born and raised in good ole “O-Town” (Orlando, Florida)! No, sadly I don't get to go to Disney World all to much (although that would be nice) but I do live about 45 minutes from the beach which has been one of my favorites things about growing up in Florida. I somehow managed to be one of the rare cases of people to stick with the same major all four years, but I’m an International Business Major with a concentration in Spanish and Marketing.
Why did you decide to run for VP of Recruitment?
Over these past three years, Alpha Chi has given me more than I could imagine: the best support system, the goofiest friends, hysterical memories and some of my deepest friendships. Thank goodness the world works in crazy ways because, I decided to run for assistant recruitment last year. I had the absolute privilege of serving alongside one of my greatest friends and got the opportunity to help show potential new members why this chapter is so special and unique. I am so thankful for that time and so thankful it showed me how passionate I am about Alpha Chi, so with that I decided to for run for this position.
What advice would you give to someone going through recruitment?
Just breathe. Take a depth breath, have fun and be nothing but yourself. It’s so easy to get caught up in everything that comes along with this week but don't forget to pause and take a moment to take everything in. I wanted to find the place that made me feel at home and comfortable as myself, and for me that was and will always be Alpha Chi. This is one of the most fun and exciting weeks and you are given such a great opportunity to make so many friends. Invest in the conversations and get to know the girls you’re talking to- because I can speak for everyone when I say they couldn’t be more excited to meet YOU!
What is the best part about your position?
Hanging out with 250 of the greatest people for about two weeks straight!!! Over these past 8 months I have gotten know and love how different and unique each Alpha Chi is. There is nothing more rewarding than serving and working alongside the girls that have given me so much more than just these past three years of college. These two weeks are full of hard work (and a whole lot of laughing and dancing!) and make for the best build up to one of the most exciting weeks of the year. Alpha Chi has been the coolest thing to watch evolve and change over the past three years and just like anything with age, it just gets better and better! I couldn’t be more excited to get to know the new members and create memories that will last longer than my time at Auburn.
If your life was a song, what would it be?
‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’ by Whitney Houston, I love to dance! Although I was not graced with the coordination of a real trained dancer, maaaan am I always down to dance. This song always gets me in the mood. Some of my favorite memories have been dancing to this song in between recruitment parties last year or in my house with the 4 Alpha Chi girls I live with. (Probably while embarrassing myself in front of the people who live across the street from us!) But none the less it’s my favorite song!
If you could have a superpower for a day, what would it be?
I wish I could fly because I always wish I could be everywhere at once!! There are so many fun things to do in Auburn and so many people to see, father time just doesn't seem to be on my side. Ha!
If you had to order take-out right now, what would you get?
Gaahh I can get down with some good take out! My family and I love to try new and different foods, so my answer might sound a little interesting, but Indian food is my jam!!
WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU SO SOON!
VP of New Member Education
Hometown: Birmingham, AL
Major: Early Childhood Education
What is the most exciting thing about being VP of New Member Education AKA "Mom"?
The most exciting thing about being mom is all of the new faces I get to meet and hang out with! I also cant wait to teach all of the new members everything I love about Alpha Chi!
Why were you drawn to this role?
I was drawn to this position because I have a heart for teaching and forming relationships with others. I love to meet new people and I want to serve others.
What was one of your favorite experiences or memories about your "Mom" ?
My favorite experience with my “mom” as a freshman was when our VP of New Member Education, Peyton, was really open and real with us at the new member meetings. It made me feel like she was really looking out for us.
What do you hope to bring to the new freshmen coming in the fall?
I hope that I can bring the new members comfort and peace as they enter their first semester in college. I want them to be able to learn the importance of this chapter, but to also feel at home.
What is your favorite activity in Auburn?
My favorite activity in Auburn is really just being able to hang out with people at any given time. That is the beauty of Auburn having a “small town feel” to it. Everyone is close and there are so many places to hang out!
What is your dream job?
My dream job is to be a second or third grade teacher in Charleston, SC. That is so specific, but it has always been a dream!
As we transition into the summer, we'd love to share some highlights from our spring semester!
Pizza Pie with Alpha Chi
Alpha Chi supports Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention as our national philanthropy. Each semester, our VP of Philanthropy and her team work hard to plan events to raise money for our cause. For the first time this year, we held Pizza Pie with Alpha Chi! Guests could enjoy all-you-can-eat pizza and drinks! All profits benefitted the Domestic Violence Intervention Center in Opelika. We had a great turn out and raised close to $8,000 for the DVIC!
Socials and Formal
This semester we enjoyed our War Damn America, Alpha Heartbreakers, St. Patrick's Day, Rhyme Without Reason and Rave socials. This year's Red Carnation ball was special because we celebrated Epsilon Zeta's 50th year at Auburn with current members and alumni!
Six Flags Sisterhood Day
We are so proud of our Greek Sing dancers for winning third place in this year's competition! "Alpha Spice" was incredible! Congratulations to our choreographers, Kate Dorsten and Shelby Andrews, for all of their hard work in creating this fabulous dance!
We are so proud of all our Alpha Chi graduates of 2017! We can't wait to see all the things they accomplish as they take their next big step! We will miss them all dearly and cherish their legacy in our chapter.
We hope everyone has a wonderful summer, and we cannot wait to see you all back for #aurec17!
